Big Moves in Brandon Ford TV Race Challenge Points

Batavia, OH (July 15, 2021) - After 14 Brandon Ford TV Races, the points battle is heating up. The Brandon Ford TV Race Challenge will award points to drivers at the televised events broadcast on Network TV within the series schedule in 2021. The winner of the Brandon Ford TV Race Challenge will receive a $10,000 cash award, while second and third will receive $3,000 and $2,000 respectively at the year-end awards banquet.

There have been several movers and shakers within the Brandon Ford TV Challenge Point category. Tim McCreadie, Josh Richards, and Mike Marlar are three drivers that have continued to move up the ladder since Speedweeks until now. Hudson O’Neal has remained in one of the top two spots, while Kyle Bronson moved from fifth into fourth after the Clash at the Mag weekend at Magnolia Motor Speedway.

McCreadie has not finished outside of the top ten in a TV Challenge race or series points race since Speedweeks, so it is no surprise that he sits on top of both categories. Other than a 15th place finish on Friday at the Clash at the Mag, Richards hasn’t finished outside of the top five in a TV Challenge race since Speedweeks.

Competition continues in the Brandon Ford TV Challenge during the remainder of July during races in Granite City, IL (Tri-City Speedway), Wheatland, MO (Lucas Oil Speedway), and Greenwood, NE (I-80 Speedway) for nearly $650,000 in purse money on the line over the next two weeks.

This year’s NAPA Know How 50 on Friday, July 16th will be taped for broadcast on MAVTV Motorsports Network, CBS Sports Network, and NBCSN, later in the year. Saturday, July 17th’s 15th Annual CMH Diamond Nationals will be taped for broadcast on MAVTV Motorsports Network, CBS, CBS Sports Network, and NBCSN, later in the year. Both nights will be live on MAVTV Plus streaming service.

Teams will be back at it for five nights of racing at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE. Tuesday, July 20th and Wednesday, July 21st will be a pair of $7,000-to-win shows to line up for Thursday’s $30,000-to-win Al Belt Custom Homes I-80 Nationals. On Friday, July 23rd, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series teams will compete in two rounds of heat races to line up for Saturday’s $53,000-to-win Imperial Tile Silver Dollar Nationals.

Tuesday, July 20th through Friday, July 23rd will be taped for a delayed broadcast on MAVTV Motorsports Network. Saturday’s show is not only taped for delayed broadcast on MAVTV Motorsports Network, but also for CBS Sports Network and NBCSN. All five nights of racing from I-80 Speedway will also be live on MAVTV Plus streaming service.

With 18 Network TV races remaining, Tim McCreadie leads over Hudson O’Neal, while Josh Richards, Kyle Bronson, and Mike Marlar round out the top five in the Brandon Ford TV Race Challenge standings. For a complete list of standings visit: https://lucasdirt.com/points/2021-points
