BATAVIA, OH (June 5, 2020) – Dirt Draft entered the fantasy sports world in July of 2019 as the first of its kind, covering grassroots short track racing events of all types. Since then, Dirt Draft has accelerated through initial expectations and is now committed to hosting over 400 events this year, encompassing the full Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season.

Dirt Draft and the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series have come to an agreement that positions Dirt Draft to become the “Official Fantasy Sports Provider” of the series for the 2020 season, with a collective desire to work together long term in order to increase both overall user and fan experience as a whole.

“To me, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has always done such an outstanding job of helping shape the standard of what a sanctioning body or series should strive to be in the racing world today” said Jacob Nord, of Dirt Draft. “To have the support of everyone at Lucas Oil means a lot to all of us at Dirt Draft, and I look forward to seeing what is yet to come for fantasy short track racing throughout the duration of this collaboration. The opportunities and advancements that will arise from being able to both provide and share resources with a national dirt late model tour and its partners is a very exciting thing” he added.

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is a touring series owned and operated by Lucas Oil Products. The series competes on dirt ovals across the United States, primarily throughout the East Coast and the Midwest - and has the highest average car count of any touring series in the country at 43 entries per event, with over 500 different drivers competing at least once with the series. “We are very excited to be a part of the Dirt Draft family and for their product to be available to all of our fans. We recognize the value that fan engagement brings to the entire sport of short track racing, and feel that this relationship will help expand the exposure of our series, our events, our partners and the drivers. We have a lot of exciting things that we will be able to work together on, including supplying some really cool products into the Dirt Draft Speed Shop.” says Ritchie Lewis, Lucas Oil Director of Race Operations.
