CORONA, CA (April 22, 2010) - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is excited to announce that Sweet Manufacturing and Weld Wheels have joined the series as sponsors and are offering racers additional awards for 2010. Sweet Mfg. is a leader in the steering components industry and provides quality steering components to numerous dirt late model drivers all over the country. Randy Sweet is the owner and founder of Sweet Mfg, based in Kalamazoo, MI, and has partnered with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in 2010. Sweet Mfg adds additional cash awards and product awards to the 2010 Quarter Master Rookie of the Year program. This year’s Rookie of the Year will receive $10,000 cash award and several product awards including a special Sweet Mfg product award and the 2nd place finisher in the Rookie of the Year award will now receive a $4,500 cash award and special product award from Sweet Mfg as well.

“We’re excited to have Sweet Mfg come on board and add additional money to our Quarter Master Rookie of the Year program. The rookies are competing against some of the best dirt late model drivers in the country on a weekly basis and the added awards from Sweet Mfg just gives these racers some additional incentives to run the tour in 2010”, stated Ritchie Lewis, Series Director.

Weld Wheels has also come on board for the 2010 season and is offering several special awards throughout the year including a special product award at every series event to the 10th place finisher in each feature event. In addition, Weld Wheels will give away two wheels to the fastest qualifier at the DART Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway on May 28th. Weld Wheels will also give a special product award to the Rookie of the Year program at the series’ year-end banquet.
