CORONA, CA (August 15, 2008) – Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Director Ritchie Lewis has announced the penalties for two drivers resulting from tire violations that occurred at the North/South 100 last weekend at Florence Speedway in Union, KY.

LOCUST GROVE, AR (August 15, 2008) – Inclement weather on Friday has forced officials of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and Batesville Motor Speedway to move the entire race program for the 16^th Annual COMP Cams Topless 100 to a one-day show on Saturday, August 16^th. 

CORONA, CA (August 13, 2008) – For the very first time, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will sanction the COMP Cams Topless 100 at the Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, AR.  The highly popular late model event, in which the cars run without a roof will pay $40,000 to win, $20,000 for second and $2,000 to start the 16^th Annual event.

UNION, KY (August 9, 2008) – Using a textbook slide job on Scott Bloomquist, Darren Miller of Chadwick, IL took the lead on the 77^th lap and then held off the Hall of Famer over the last 23 circuits to win the biggest race of his career on Saturday Night at Florence Speedway.  Miller’s margin of victory was a little more than half a car length as the 31-year-old driver

UNION, KY (August 8, 2008) – Jeremy Payne the 22-year-old Springfield, MO driver who was making his first ever appearance at Florence Speedway was the fastest over all qualifier among 95 entries on Friday Night for the Sunoco Race Fuels North/South 100 Presented by Lucas Oil.  Payne driving a GRT by Phillips GTO tripped the clock at 17.559 seconds which earned the PRC Fast Qualifier for the evening.  The 95 entries set a new Florence Speedway track record for Late Models.
