The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series is the premier national touring sanctioning body for dirt super late models. The Series will sanction 53 events at 33 different venues across 19 states in 2016. These Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt racecars are on the cutting edge of technology in construction and are powered by 800 horsepower V-8 engines based on the Chevy, Ford and Mopar power plants. Nothing is “stock” about these $70,000 machines that provide dirt slinging, sideways, door-to-door racing action lap after lap. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series provided its many race fans the most exciting and entertaining events in 2015. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series averaged 42 entries per event in 2015, the highest average of any touring series in the country. The LOLMDS also had over 550 different drivers competing at least once with the series in 2015.
The Series will sanction numerous marquee events in 2016 including the Georgia Boot Super Bowl of Racing at Golden Isles Speedway, Winternationals at East Bay Raceway Park, BadBoy 98 at Batesville Motor Speedway, Buckeye Nationals at Atomic Speedway, Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway, Clash at the Mag at Magnolia Motor Speedway, Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway, Sunoco North/South 100 at Florence Speedway, COMP Cams Topless 100 at Batesville Motor Speedway, Hillbilly Hundred at I-77 Raceway Park, Jackson 100 at Brownstown Speedway, Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, Pittsburgher 100 at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway, and the season finale $100,000 to win Dirt Track World Championship at Portsmouth Raceway Park.
In 2016 Lucas Oil Products and the Team Lucas Partners have expanded the TV package for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will air several events live on this season on LucasOilRacing.TV. A total of twenty-two (22) events will air on TV in 2016 and broadcast on three (3) different TV Networks including CBS, NBC Sports, and MAVTV. In-car cameras and special pit side on-air reports will bring the racing action to an even more intense and entertaining level for viewers.
The series has partnered with CBS to bring dirt late model racing to a true major national broadcast network. The CBS Sports Spectacular will air the Show-Me 100 from Lucas Oil Speedway on May 27-28th for the sixth year in a row. This broadcast brought tremendous ratings and viewership in 2015 and is sure to bring even higher ratings for a dirt late model show on TV in 2016.
The series also has expanded its presence among the many social media outlets including Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to expand the brand to whole new untapped markets. Combined with an extensive TV package, series press releases, series website, and all the social media outlets packaged together, the LOLMDS brings enormous brand recognition, publicity, and exposure to the companies that partner with the series!!
